Outlier Artificial Intelligence - Oakland, California (February 2024 - Present)

Artificial Intelligence Teacher: Coding Expert

  • Generate prompts that will question a model’s ability to generate Python code to analyze, visualize, manipulate, or describe data from a provided dataset.

  • Generate Reinforcement Learning through Human Feedback (RLHF) to train a model to understand a prompt and build a solution.

  • Review and rate model responses to a prompt, and suggest changes that can be made to improve the model’s response.

Dancing Bear Pub - Waco, Texas (September 2022 - Present)

General Manager/Bartender

  • Orchestrate efficient tap/keg management to optimize beverage offerings and prevent redundancy.

Analytic Methods in Sports, (Vol. II) by Thomas A. Severini (Fall 2023)

  • Faculty Mentor: Dr. James D. Stamey

  • Focus of Research: Helping develop a curriculum for Baylor University Statistics department’s new Sports Analytics emphasis, drawing inspiration from Thomas A. Severini’s Analytic Methods in Sports, (Vol. II). Specifically, breaking down and translating Microsoft Excel commands, tables, and operations outlined in the book into R code to ensure a seamless integration of analytical techniques.

SCORE Network (Spring 2022)

  • Faculty Mentor: Dr. Rodney Studivant

  • Focus of Research: Leveraging packages from the R coding language to ascertain the optimal number of K-Means clusters, executing data clustering through various basketball statistics, and conducting an in-depth analysis of cluster contents.

National Collegiate Sports Analytics Conference (Fall 2022)

  • Faculty Mentor: Dr. James D. Stamey

  • Focus of Research: Utilizing R for an in-depth exploration of the "home-court advantage" phenomenon among Big-12 basketball teams. This involves analyzing the variation in shooting percentages from various distances (free throw, layup, etc.) between home and away games for each team in the Big-12.
